  • The band is currently taking a break. Is it permanent? Nobody knows for sure, but as of right now the band is planning to do future shows scheduled. Bassist Joey Talbott recently had surgery to repair a torn tricep in his left arm. Prior to the surgery, Talbott and guitarist Paul Tadder have started a new project with drummer Brent Nimz (Rejection Fetish, The Raid). The new band is currently auditioning singers. If interested, email joey. Singer Eric Wennerholm is still making music with his rap effort, The Hazbros. You can find them on myspace. Very cool stuff!

Some quotes on Wheeliebar...

Derek Sivers (founder of CDbaby.com on Wheeliebar's debut CD, High Volume Therapeutic) - "It's F#@$ing COOL man. HUGE guitars and perfect vocals. Totally pro and ready for prime time."

Wes Royer (Williamsburg, VA -Openupandsay.com) - "I listened to the samples and bought this CD thinking I might be taking a risk. But my luck came up good and this is a fine slice of modern metal. If the word diverse scares you because of the whole rap-rock thing, don't let it. This is a metal album that combines a lot of good elements from the past 15 years of heavy music."

Doug (Dirt TV in Canada) - "You guys are great and we listen to the cd all the time in our company truck! So when Dirt TV shows up at an event there is "wheeliebar" cranked!"

Arni Jonsson (Wild Rock Radio - Iceland) - "Hi. We host a metal radio show in Iceland. We play anything from heavy garagebands to worldwide famous bands, and we came across your band on the www and we liked it a LOT! We would be really honored if you could send us anything that we could play on our show... Have you ever thought about playing in Iceland? Because
it would really be an honor to have a band of your calibre to appear!!"

Brian Barney (Shepherd Express Magazine Summerfest Critic's Choice 7-1-04)- "For something with just as much metal but a bit more melody, Milwaukee's Wheeliebar shows a slightly more tender touch (but never too tender) with a style that is reminiscent of bands like Faith No More. The boys have successfully used the Internet and hard touring to promote their way into many different markets both here and abroad while garnering excellent press coast to coast. Don't miss your chance to see the intense live show this band is quickly becoming known for this Friday, July 2 at 5 p.m. on the Mountain Dew Lazer 103 Rock Stage."

Jamie (Fort Worth, Texas) - "If this CD was in a store I'd buy it...this band is HEAVY!!! I'd love to hear more stuff from you guys...I think you have a good heavy original sound...I am refreshed...finally!"

Alicia (Madison, Wisconsin) - "Hey Wheeliebar, heard you on JJO last night. You sounded incredible, vocally and intrumentally. The unique drum parts were interesting to listen to. It's nice to hear that you're from Wisconsin and are so good. The theory of having fun has been lost in bands these days it seems, that's awesome you're bringing it back. When you were talking on JJO you all seemed to have a good sense of humor, down to earth...Keep it up."

Tim (Michigan) - " Nice job! Your website is awesome and your sound is insane...you guys rock! Hope to see you play soon. Drink Heineken - it is good...."

Mike (Ohio) - "...I have to say that I think that you have a great sound and style and you rock. I would love to help spread the word of how good you are...you deserve to be heard...would love to help out."

Suplini (Kendall, Florida) - "Very powerful...awesome riffs...awesome feel...definitely something I would like to hear on the radio"

Mandi (Madison, Wisconsin) - "Hey guys! I just saw you at the Dane County Fair with Prescence. YOU GUYS KICKED ASS!! I picked up your CD last night and I'm listening to it now on full blast! Awesome CD! You guys are definitely going to go far in the business, I know for sure! You guys rock, and I'm proud that you're from Wisconsin!!!"

Jeremy (Racine, Wisconsin) - "Hey guys......saw you guys last night at Coasters and you guys were
awesome. Can't wait to see you guys at upcoming shows."

Justin (Glendale, WI) - "You guys rule!"
